Abstract

This guide is addressed to professionals and parents interested in interventions to support the development of parenting skills and promote children's mental health. The introduction presents various types of intervention, both individual and group-based. Individual interventions include counseling, mentoring, active listening, parental coaching, and information, all aimed at supporting personal development, building trust, and strengthening parents' abilities. It also covers referrals to specialized institutions and the necessary material support. On the group intervention side, the guide explores group counseling, parental education courses, support groups, peer support groups, and self-help groups, which provide a collaborative framework for parents. All of these interventions aim to improve parenting skills and support a network of assistance among parents. The guide is complemented by a bibliography that supports the theoretical foundation of the described interventions.
