About the lesson @ #ClimateChange

This lesson is being conducted as part of the World Largest Lesson initiative, Project Everyone's education program. The initiative, whose partners are UNICEF and UNESCO, promotes the use of the Sustainable Development Goals in learning so that children and young people can contribute to a better future for all.

NATIONAL LESSON: ACT TO LIMIT CLIMATE CHANGE!

The HoltIS Association and UNICEF in Romania invite you to participate in the National Lesson: ACT TO LIMIT CLIMATE CHANGE! The activity is organized on the occasion of World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5.

This activity is part of the campaign to promote actions to protect the environment and to raise awareness of the effects of climate change - a campaign for children and young people to express their views on climate and environmental education and on their right to have access to ecological education. In a language adapted to them, children can reflect on the importance of ecological (or environmental) education and the need for all children to benefit from environmental education.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?

We encourage teachers to share information about this event with other colleagues, who have not already received an invitation to participate by email.

We want to offer the opportunity to participate in the session to people whose mother tongue is Hungarian, and in this sense we will also make materials in Hungarian available for download.

You can sign up using the link in the main menu of the website.

After registration, each teacher is encouraged to organize a lesson with the theme of actions to limit climate change.

This activity can be organized with students until 14-06-2024, inclusive. The duration of the meeting will be approximately one hour.

MATERIALS AVAILABLE AFTER REGISTRATION

After registration we will provide you with free support resources (downloadable electronic format) to support the activity.

  • Lesson Plan ACT TO LIMIT CLIMATE CHANGE! (material that will be used for the activity with the students);
